Formerly known as Dorval Airport, Pierre Eliot Trudeau International Airport is on the west side of Montreal and is approximately half an hour from downtown Montreal. Trudeau International Airport has recently been renovated and currently handles most International flights to and from Montreal.

Mirabel Airport is rarely used after the renovations to Pierre Eliot Trudeau International Airport.

Travelling to Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport

If you are leaving from downtown Montreal, you can expect to pay around 25$, Canadian to travel to Trudeau International Airport. If you are traveling to Mirabel, the fare more than doubles at about $60, Canadian. However, most local taxi companies have a fixed rate for commuting between downtown and Trudeau International Airport. If you happen to be staying with a major hotel, many of these hotels tend to offer shuttle services directly to Trudeau International Airport. L’Aérobus shuttles provide shuttle services between the two major airports and downtown Montreal. L’Aérobus also provides shuttle services between both airports, if case you need to make a flight connection. L’Aérobus is also less costly than taking a taxi or a limo. There is a bus every 25 minutes so the wait time for these buses is quite short.
