The Montreal Beer Festival (Mondial de la Bière) is an annual beer festival that takes place during the summertime in Montreal. It features beer tastings, beer workshops, food and, of course, lots of beer. This 10-day festival is labeled as the largest international beer festival in North America. The festival takes place at Montreal’s Windsor station.
Beer Specialists at the Festival
Founded in 1994, the Montreal Beer Festival is considered to be a gateway to the Québec and foreign beer industry. The beer festival features many beerologists sharing their knowledge with the general public. These specialists offer workshops on know, smell and taste your beer.
Beer Tasting Coupons
You will need to purchase tasting coupons in order to taste the variety of beers being offered at the festival. A beer sample can cost anywhere from 1 to 5 coupons. The beer is served in three to four ounce servings. You can buy the tasting coupons on location or online.
Food and Beer
Along with Beer, lots of food is served at the Montreal Beer Festival. You can get barbecued beef and chicken, bison and boar rolls, a variety of breads, cheese appetizers, fries, fudge, kangaroo, giant grilled shrimps, lobster sandwiches, variety of sausages and other treats at the Montreal Beer Festival.
