Montreal’s Jean-Drapeau Park (Parc Jean-Drapeau) is a large park located on the Saint Lawrence River. Formerly known as Parc des Îles, it consists of Sainte-Hélène Island (Île-Sainte-Hélène) as well as the man-made Notre-Dame Island (Île-Notre-Dame) , which hosted Expo ’67. The islands of Jean-Drapeau are very popular because of their large green spaces that provide an excellent location for many cultural and sports activities. The park hosts various events and contains various attractions. It is one Montreal’s largest parks.

Jean-Drapeau Park is located east of downtown Montreal. You can reach the Jean-Drapeau Park by métro, car, bicycle or boat. The park is named after Jean Drapeau, the late mayor of Montreal who brought Expo 67 to Montreal.
