Montreal’s Dîner en Blanc (Montreal’s White Dinner) is an elegant, festive and delicious event in which thousands of guests , dressed in all white meet to share a meal at an undisclosed location in Montreal. The special thing about this all-white picnic is that none of the guests know the location of the picnic until the very last minute. The guests are brought to the secret location by bus “charter”, with their own basket of food and wine.

Those who are fortunate enough to be invited to the Dîner en Blanc bring their own tables, chairs, dinner and wine. The event often features live music, local musicians and eager partygoers. Everything starts around 7pm and finishes around 11:30pm. The cost is around $30 for transportation to the secret location.

The idea behind the Dîner en Blanc de Montréal comes from Paris, where the event attracts thousands of guests each year. This event has been happening in Paris for more than 20 years, but was started in 2009 in Montreal. This event has been launched in Paris by François Pasquier 23 years ago, but was started in 2009 in Montreal by his son Aymeric Pasquier.
