Montreal’s International Circus Arts Festival (Montréal Complètement Cirque)is an international festival celebrating circus arts. Hundreds of circus artists from around the world participate in this summer festival. The festival features performances, showcases, conferences and exhibitions all over the city of Montreal. You’ll find circus artists, magicians, clowns, acrobats, makeup artists and much more.
The Circus in Montreal
Montreal is already recognized as a hotspot for circus arts. The Cirque du Soleil is located in the city along with the National Circus School. So, it’s only fitting for the city to have a Circus Arts festival. The festival turns the entire city of Montreal into one big circus, with many events happening all over the city. These events feature jugglers, acrobats, dancers, gymnasts, fire-eaters and other artists related to the circus arts.

The 18-day festival is hotsted at various venues around Montreal. Some of these venues include the Quays of the Old Port, the Quartier Latin and La TOHU along with various cultural centers. There are also various free and paid events.
Montreal’s Newest Festival
The circus arts festival is one of Montreal’s newest festivals, with its first edition occurring from July 8 to July 25 2010. It is a festival created by the Cirque du Soleil, la TOHU and the National Circus School among others. The circus festival features circus professionals from all over the world. These professionals offer public performances as well as workshops.
