Montreal’s Napa Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge (NAPA Pièces d’auto 200 présenté par Dodge) is a NASCAR racing event that is held at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Île Notre-Dame in Jean-Drapeau Park. Although it is one of the newer races in NASCAR, it is quickly becoming one of the highlights of the NASCAR’s annual schedule. During this event thousands of NASCAR fan enthusiasts from across Canada and the United States line up to see who is the fastest Nationwide Series NASCAR driver.

The Napa Auto Parts 200 made its Montreal premiere in 2007 but grew in popularity in 2009. In 2009, the Canadian Grand Prix had been cancelled and Montreal was looking for a new racing event to satisfy motorsports fans. Since then, the Canadian Grand Prix has returned but the Napa Auto Parts 200 continues to be a very popular event that draws thousands of race car fans to Montreal.
The Gilles Villeneuve Circuit
Motorsports fans love the Napa Auto Parts 200 because it is usually one of the most intense competitions of the series because of the challenging Gilles Villeneuve track. The Gilles Villeneuve track is not a typical NASCAR track. The track features some sharp turns and slick maneuvering is required to win this race.
The Napa Auto Parts 200
The Napa Auto Parts 200 is the most important NASCAR events in Canada. The first ever appearance of NASCAR at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit was in 2007. The 200 in the official name of the event comes from the fact that the main racing event is 200 miles (74 laps).
