The Festival of Nouveau Cinema is Canada’s oldest international film festival. The festival has long been cherished as an event that heralds movies that are unconventional and innovative. It was previously known as the Montreal Festival of New Cinema and New Media until 2004. For 40 years now, the Festival du nouveau cinéma has fulfilled its mission as Montreal’s best film festival for unique films from Montreal and abroad.
